A highly drinkable ale steeped with hibiscus flowers and a touch of orange peel for a natural tartness and slight pink hue.

Pours a clear, reddish-amber color with a pink head that dissipates. Had a lemony, grassy aroma. That did not translate to the taste. Really sweet all the way down, like artificially so. Sticky mouthfeel, and medium bodied. I will not drink this again.

As I poured this into a Rock Bottom shaker from the twelve ounce can, I was glad that I was trying this brew at home rather than at a southwest-side Chicago bar (my usual venue for public imbibings) because of its pinkish amber body (with a minimalistís white head). Iím getting too old íní tired to have to defend my drinking preferences.
It has a sweet floral aroma (this, too, hurts on the southwest-side) along with some caramel. The flavor has a sweet caramel base upon which I get an odd floral sweetness. Thereís a soft underlying quiet and subtle earthy bitterness. The finish is a tad sticky sweet, but not unbearingly so.
This ainít a bad drink, really, but youíre better off not ordering one in the kind of joints that I find myself in.

12 oz. can, single from Lemon Tree. Even the first bit of beer in the glass has amber color with pinkish highlights. Foam fizzles away pretty quickly. Malted notes with just a bit of flower to it, perhaps some chamomile. Malts are pretty forward, with a side impression of rose petal, but again, not overly flowery. A good thing because then Iíd start thinking about shampoo. Instead, the malts stick to my lips, and there a nice edge of flower or watermelon on a beer thatís not delicate, but quite substantial.

12oz can 7/20/14 (Jewel Mix A Six)-42į in Shaker-Pours an orangish pink with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, sweetness, and wine. Taste of sweetness, caramel, orange, and hibiscus. This light bodied brew is a bit different but still rather refreshing.

Just not for me. Reddish copper color. Aroma is yeasty-winey. Taste is tangy and sour, not very beer-like. Iím not a fan, so donít really feel like writing anything else.

On tap @ Revolution. Pink/red pour with a white head. Floral aroma, some butter, and a hint of orange zest. Some bready malt, soda water, and hibiscus. The taste is kind of sweet and a touch buttery. Some soda water and orange zest. Kind of meh.

Draft pour. Pink and red blush coloring with noticeably fizzy carbonation. Light drinking hibiscus ale with a citrus backend. Highly drinkable thirst quencher.
