3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pretty solid! Only slightly overhopped (as per normal American microbrew standards), and a truly interesting combination of sweet flower and tart other (orange peel apparently) flavors, much nicer than the Leffe Rose in fact. Gift from our Illinoisan friends, and a much welcome one

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Dunlays on the Square in Chicago. A very average amber ale with caramel malts, a lightly dry finish, with a very light floral tartness throughout.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
The slightly red color was a redeemimg feature where the overall portrait is decidedly negative: a plain caramel aroma gives way to a sweet cardboard caramel flavor. Not good. Tap in Chicago.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an amber color with a pink hue and a pink head. Aroma is sweet of the caramel malts. Not much else on the aroma. Flavor is the same. Not getting the hibiscus either.

On tap at Whirlyball in Vernon Hills on the twins 21st. Reddish orange pour with a pink head. Aroma has florals, tangy fruits, spices. Taste is tangy, sweet, light. Decent but not worth repeating. 11.8

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
can @ Firehouse Grill / Cincinnati OH --- Clear, rose-colored amber, thin rim head, no lace. Very still, like wine. Taste is somewhat fizzy light malt with flowery overtones aided by some sweetening on the swallow. Not a normal beer profile of any style, with the additional penalty of a thin, watery quality. Not for me.

On tap at Simone’s, pours a a brownish/Amber with a thin pinkish grey head. Caramel aroma sweet and fruity lightly flowery. Taste like a poor flat Amber ale, with light hibiscus. Meh.
