on tap @ Farmhouse in Chicago. Bright pink-orange colour, minimal head. Aroma is yeasty and perfumey. Flavours of pale malts and subtle hibiscus flowers. Pretty light. DDC makes a more nuanced and refreshing hibiscus ale.

Bomber from a trade. Pours unclear orange with red tint and smallish white head. Smell is flowery, pink candy, sweet malts. Taste is a lightly hopped pale ale with some lightly sweet and tart floral aspect. Taste is not as artificial as the nose indicates.

12 oz. can and on tap, several times. Pours a bright pink with a pink tinted head. Aroma of hibiscus, orange peel, floral notes. Flavor is similiar, floral and citrus notes balanced by light malty sweetness. Light bodied, effervescent. Finishes with a twinge of bitterness. Nice, light beer.

Had on tap at Blue’s BBQ. Served in a taster glass.
A: This hibiscus really lends its color here. Pours a rosy color with some amber highlights. A thin white head forms on the pour and recedes to a thin ring that leaves some nice webbing of lace.
S: The hibiscus is present on the nose. Light and sweet smelling. Minimal hops with a nice cracker malt backbone.
T: Nice malty sweetness with the bright hibiscus coming through. Some orange pith with a light bitterness on the finish.
M: Light bodied with a bubbly, medium high carbonation level. Nice drinkability.
O: Nice flowery flavors that’s easily drinkable. Wouldn’t be my go to choice on a hot summer’s day, but it’s a nice option if nothing else is around.

Like a very light beer with pink food color. Slight floral note, dry finish. For a floral beer more slight hopping is needed.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma has hints of wheat and hibiscus, just a touch of tartness is noticeable. It pours a slightly reddish amber, with an off white head. Very light bodied beer, with a slightly sweet floral taste. Not a bad summer beer.

Pours a copper amber with a beige head and aroma of floral notes. Taste is of wine notes, caramel malt, light fruit, and grains with a dry finish. Wasn’t a fan of this one

Can, via Archer Liquors, Chicago, pours a semi clear rose color with a short lasting head. Nose is sweet, fruity and floral. Tastes like a fruity wine spritzer. Finish is sweet and sort. A dud from a good microbrewer. quaff Score 5 / 10

12oz can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear reddish orange with minimal head. Aroma of grains with just a hint of light berry. Taste is light tart. A little berry and a hint of citrus with a big grain backbone. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Good brew for drinking outside on a hot day.
