COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smoky treat, our smoked stout is brewed with smoked and roasted malts for a full body and aromas reminiscent of campfires and smoked ham.

Fantastic beer. Perfect body and balance of smoke, light fruitiness, ash, burnt rubber, so drinkable with great carbonation, this is a winner for sure.

had on tap at revolution. Poured into a pint glass with a solid dark brown color. good aromas of smoke, toffee, spices and malts. nice depth, but while there is a smoke aroma it isn’t as defined as you’d want a smoke beer to be. medium bodied with a really good feel. The smoke flavor is there again, but not as prominent as I expected. It is well balanced with flavors of toffee and caramel as well If there was more of a smoke flavor to this, it would be a lot better. This does have a really good feel and was very easy drinking

Draft at the brewpub. Pours nearly black with a small creamy light tan head. Aroma is nicely balanced with roast and smokey woody notes, plenty of rich cocoa and some burnt toast along with the meaty character. Flavor is much the same, good balance of sweet chocolate, roast and smoke, some earthy meaty notes towards the finish which is crisp and smokey. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Very nice

Dark pout with a huge head and tons of lacing. Aroma is super smokey. Smells like a ham in the smoker. Creamy mouth. After taste has lingering smoke. It is exactly as advertised and well executed.

ugh, what did they use, liquid smoke? to be fair, had this after the b. a. baracus, which was a hard act to follow.

Tap @ Rev. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of smoke, meat. Good flavor, nice and smokey. Good smoked malts and a good stout. Well done.

Tap at Revolution on Dec. 29, 2011. Nice smokey nose, dark brown pour, and the taste was a kind of muted smokeyness, which ended up being very well balanced with the other flavor elements. Nice brew.

Draft.. Dark brown but list of clear dark amber on the fringes, light tan head... The nose is awesome, tons of salty pork and smoke, one noted but exactly what it’s supposed to be, great... The taste is s but thin and boring, lighter version on hgd aroma, more char than smoke and the pork is too muted, good but I had hopes for great

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a black body with a finger-width, creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is solid with lots of meaty smoke, rich chocolate, and roast. Maintains a pleasant, light sweetness behind the smoke and roasts. Flavor is similar. Pretty roasty up front with a dark chocolate sweetness that gets a bit rich in the middle along with some caramel. Meaty and smokey throughout as the roasts and smoke increase towards the end a bit before drying this out with a light bitterness. A nice sweetness accompanies the dry finish before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a really nice smoked stout. Very flavorful with lots of roasts and smoke as well as a pleasant chocolate sweetness. The smoke is fairly meaty, which I like a lot. Great beer.
