Draught at the Revolution Brewpub, Chicago, IL.
Hazy deep golden colour with a small foamy white head. Strong citrusy and resiny hops and strong bitterness in the aroma. Balanced. Delicious. Wheat, mild yeast, resiny and piney hops and moderate bitterness. Very tasty. Highly drinkable. Wow! I liked this one a lot.

Sampled at Revolution. Poured a clear orange amber with an off-white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was a balance of citrus and pine with a slight hint of pine. Flavor was similar with a citrus start and growing pine towards the finish.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice glowing orange amber, good fiery glow with haze, small offwhite head dies to a small head, laces small. Aromas are a big blast of grapefruit and peach, mango and juicy fruits with decent florals and citrusy hop bite. Some malty biscuits and bread, pale malts with a light wheaty ester. Initial is medium bodied, a huge peach and grapefruit feel, moderate fruity bitterness, citrus and florals, very juicy with good bitterness and pale and bready. Dry florals and a touch of flaked wheat does indeed peak through. Nice bitterness, good balance, a lot of juicy fruit especially and more sessionable than say other IPAs. Very nice, fresh, "juicy". These Revo IPAs have some great hop flavors. Cheers.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2011 Draft at revolution. Pours hazed light golden with white head. A big lemon grass and wheat malt aroma, flavors continue with over powering lemon grass, lawn clippings, wheat malt, and mild orange peel finish. Theres also an obnoxious fizzy carbonation and when combined with the wheat it comes off like a mouth full. This is really an American wheat so why are they calling it an ipa? Would that even sell better? 3.4 7/27/11 draft, 2011 version, this time it comes off more like an IPA with a touch of wheat in the base. pretty solid, nice and refreshing. Not a huge hop bomb but good citrus fruit, grass, and pine going on. really drinkable. 3.7

Mug draft... dark peach, a little murky, dark tope head, really thin cap but lasting, small lace... Really fruity aroma, citrus bursting, oranges and pineapple with a toffee malt body, wheat ipa? Can’t tell, pleasant... The fruits don’t continue with the base is lots of smooth light sweet malts, very piney but smooth, orange peel finish... Really nice

Draft at Revolution. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a billowy, fluffy head. Nose is a bit grassy, distant lemon and orange-blossom. Also a bit of a bready note as well. Not really much lemongrass in there compared to when I’ve brewed 100% SA beers in the past. On taste, there is an astringent note that comes through, along with citrus peel and a light and clean bitterness. Also perceiving some alcohol. Nice full body and round mouthfeel. Decent.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange with a thick white head. Aroma of lots of citrus, grassy hops, hop oils. Flavor is very citrus with hop oils and wheat malt. Crisp and quite rich in hops. Interesting and tasty IPA! 8/4/8/4/14 [3.8/5]

Sample from revbrew...pours a semi-hazy medium amber brown pour with a thin white head... Aroma of fresh and assertive citrus on the sweeter side with tangerine and other fruity notes... Flavors are much of the same with a good sweet citrus tangerine moreso than the wheat aspect. Very nicely done overall.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, deeper golden-orange colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is pretty solid. Lots of fresh, lemony citruses with a good amount of pines and grass. A light floral and mango fruitiness too. Light amount of bready pale malts with a hint of crisp wheat. Flavor is similar. Fruity up front with a nice citrus and lemon-grassiness. A light bready pale malt again with a touch of wheat that guides this into the finish as the juicy citrus and piney lemon-grass grows. Finishes nicely dry with a moderate bitterness, a few resins, and a light wheat crispness. Lengthy aftertaste following a light, clean body and moderate, crisper carbonation. Overall, a really nice beer. Lots of fresh citrusy-lemon hops with a solid bitterness. Not a whole lot of wheat, but very easy drinking and enjoyable. Nice one.
