COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp refreshing rye IPA is the latest installment in our Repo Man soundtrack series. The toasty rye flavor is nicely balanced with a floral, spicy hop aroma to make one potent yet drinkable ale.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate floral hop and toasted rye aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

On tap at brewery. Pours a nice clear orange with moderate white head and some lacing. Aroma has rye malts, orange peel, flowers, and lots of good bitter hoppiness. Body is only medium with slight carbonation. Taste is bitter, especially on the finish, but this is not overdone. This would be a very solid IPA even without the rye. Another winner. (After sampling 5 different beers on my last visit to the brewery, this was my choice for the growler I brought home.)

Very tasty rye IPA that doesn’t overdo it on either end of the spectrum. Founders Red Rye PA is what I measure this type of beer by and this is pretty good. Nice orange color and pours with a modest white head and some moderate lacing. Had it at the brewery in a tulip glass. Aroma has lots of hop citrus and floral on the nose. The rye part comes out more in the actual taste as you get a few sips in. It’s well balanced and quick to go down. Another winner from RevBrew.

Kind of a bland one. THe flavor rolls across the tounge. Bitterness is low, carbonation is low, and the overall hop character could be amped up. The rye adds a pleasant oatmeally taste but doesn’t help the beer.

Tap at DLD12. Cherry, orange and rye malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange, rye malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. A great rye beer.

Tap at Dark Lord Day. Floral grapefruit hop aroma. Clear golden amber with a large off-white head. Sweet malt, rye bread, floral hops flavor. Medium body. Nice.

Reddish amber pour with a nice big head. Tons of lacing. Creamy mouth. Aroma of citrus. A little citrus in flavor with a big heavy hand of rye. Very drinkable. I could put a few of these away in 1 session.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a crystal clear, rich gold colored body with a finger-width, dense and foamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is big grapefruits with lots of dry and slightly spicy rye. Some crackery pale malts, more citrus florals, a light pine, some bread, and a few tropical fruits. Flavor is similar. Nice grapefruit citrus with some tangerines and tropical fruits up front along with a nice rye giving off a moderate spiciness. Floral fruits are somewhat juicy with a crisp, dryer crackery pale malt backing. Some pine towards the end as the crisp rye and grapefruit increases a touch along with a juicier floral fruitiness. Finishes dry, crisp, and moderately bitter before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium-light body with a crisp, clean, moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid rye IPA. The rye offers a nice spiciness and crispness while allowing the grapefruit-citrus-tropical fruit hops to shine. Really easy drinking and enjoyable.

On tap into a tulip at the brewery...Pours a bright and clear dark gold. A nice off white head forms a big cap, streaky full lacing all the way down...Smells like a rye ipa, lots rye and toffee, hops come across as mostly just bitter, but still muted. A musky hop that I’m not digging, seems a bit out of place...The taste has lots of caramel with rye, hops are on the finish just bitter. Too much rye on alcohol on the nose as it warms....I crushed this pretty quickly but its not my favorite. Too much rye for me.

On tap at the brewpub. Poured a clear gold with a white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma was full of citrus with a hint of slight pine and a bit of backing rye and dark bread. Flavor began with citrus that was joined by a growing pine note with a hint of rye. Beer was nice and smooth.
