Hoppy brown ale. Compared to the Workingman mild, itís stronger, more bitter and has a perfume that you wonít forget. $5 pint (6% ABV)

Light grain malts, toasted, dark malts. Clear, dark brown, small, creamy, off-white head. Medium bitter. Bitter floral hops, lively carbonation, toasted malts again. Very weak aroma, harshly bitter palate. Keg at brewpub, Chicago.

Cask. On the choppy side for a brown pine and resin to go with slightly roasty malt notes. Feminism brown ale... Iíll stick to libertarianism (Google underlines it as a spelling error), thank you.

5oz on tap at the brewpub. Clear red brown color. Thin khaki head. Leaves great, thicker lace. Medium plus body, nice full mouthfeel to it. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Good nutty, mild chocolate, mild coffee roast flavor to this. A decent amount of earthy, kind of floral mildly bitter hop. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter. Pretty nice hoppier brown ale, but not skirting brown IPA category. Hops are integrated well, and donít dominate. Nice amount of complex flavorful malt, too, all without being too heavy. Well-done American brown ale.

Tap flight at the brew pub. Light brown color, actually looks more like an amber ale. Thin khaki head that becomes a rocky ring around the glass. Faint hop aroma. Taste is hop forward, lots of citrus and grass. A blast of malt sweetness shows up mid sip and then washes away behind fruity, floral hops. Second sip leaves behind some cigar ash roastiness. Iíll try to recreate the first sip because it was better! Just noticed the nearly full lace in the glass. Nice. Medium-thin palate. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Revolution Brewing, Milwaulkee Ave, Chicago. Poured a clear dark brown with a very thin off white head. The aroma is fruit and malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a dry hop spicy fruit, slightly acidic palate. A beer with many complex flavours.... I just didnít like the flavours that much.

Poured from draft at revolution. Not very brown and doesn't taste like a brown. This is pale ale smell and taste. Super good. Love it
