Tap sample. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Solid complex toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

Tap flight at the brew pub. Light brown color, actually looks more like an amber ale. Thin khaki head that becomes a rocky ring around the glass. Faint hop aroma. Taste is hop forward, lots of citrus and grass. A blast of malt sweetness shows up mid sip and then washes away behind fruity, floral hops. Second sip leaves behind some cigar ash roastiness. Iíll try to recreate the first sip because it was better! Just noticed the nearly full lace in the glass. Nice. Medium-thin palate. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Revolution Brewing, Milwaulkee Ave, Chicago. Poured a clear dark brown with a very thin off white head. The aroma is fruit and malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a dry hop spicy fruit, slightly acidic palate. A beer with many complex flavours.... I just didnít like the flavours that much.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear dark brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops and roasted malt. Light body with a roasty character and flavors of bready malt, hops and chocolate. The finish is sweet with a toasted malt aftertaste. Decent all around.

Very thin body. Looks like an amber lager but a little more brown thin head. Light earthy aroma. The taste is full and mild. Pretty darn good really. Not too sweet or bitter.
