2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Flat-capped lager looks. Sniffs of pastry, honey in an aluminium saucepan, slight celery and watery lemon jelly. Deeply anodyne flavour reminiscent of Church Endís punchier efforts; bitterness without explicit hop flavour or aromatics; dabs of tea, celery, lemon soapiness; biscuit, peanut and honey in the finish. JHB with a ladle of honey and all the fruitness sucked out. Not one of their best.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with a decent head and some haze. The nose has a lemon and yeast thing going on against some pale malt in the background. The taste is of a minerally lemon yoghurt. There is definitely a cask character coming through. The palate is quite dry on the finish but fairly balanced.
