Draught @ The Sheffield Tap. Clear blond coloured beer with no carbonation and a steady dense white head. Dense malty, slightly herby malty hinted aroma. Full creamy palate. FInish is strong light bitter malty with a dry bitter fruity malty note. Not bad actually.

Bottle. Golden brown with a dirty head. Aromas are apple and pear with caramel. Lemony yeast with candy sugar and toast. Floral with hints of honey. Flavours are sweet caramel with bitter lemon and spritzy yeast. It’s pretty good.

DruncanVeasey (6116) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2013
500ml bottle. Flat-capped lager looks. Sniffs of pastry, honey in an aluminium saucepan, slight celery and watery lemon jelly. Deeply anodyne flavour reminiscent of Church End’s punchier efforts; bitterness without explicit hop flavour or aromatics; dabs of tea, celery, lemon soapiness; biscuit, peanut and honey in the finish. JHB with a ladle of honey and all the fruitness sucked out. Not one of their best.

On gravity at the Volunteer, Bristol 29/3/2012. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Light, citrus hop aroma, followed by some cereal malts and a touch of tropical fruit. Finish was moderately bitter. Ok.

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours golden with a decent head and some haze. The nose has a lemon and yeast thing going on against some pale malt in the background. The taste is of a minerally lemon yoghurt. There is definitely a cask character coming through. The palate is quite dry on the finish but fairly balanced.

Cask at the Mitre, Cambridge. Pours clear yellow with a frothy white head. Dry lemony citrus aroma, some biscuits.mlight sweet flavor with biscuity pale malts, light straw, lemon pith. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Clean, dry finish, some faintly doughy but dry pale makts, biscuits, lemon, dry and sticky grass. Very decent sessioner.

Cask conditioned at The Crown, Oxford. Pale gold with white head. Biscuity, malty type body, crisp enough, some bitterness. There is a light flowery hop with a definite hint of lime in the flavour. Quite reasonable.

Cask conditioned handpump Duck & Drake Leeds 14/11/12. A blonde beer with a tight white head and lace. A dry Yorkshire bitter with a bit extra hopping. Delicate lemony notes and some sharp tropical fruits. Failry understated really but nice enough.
