Really coffee smelling aroma, with caramel undertones. So dark red it's black. Hardly any head. Tastes like bitter coffee and hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at CBC Brixton. Pours a very dark ruby/amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma is coffee and milk choc. Light to medium body, mild carbonation. Milky coffee, milk choc to start alongside a mild sweetness, finishes nicely bitter with dark choc and espresso. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - opaque black with a nice crema head. Nose - dark chocolate and cream. Taste - creamy dark chocolate again. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - just lacking a little sweetness in the end but a good beer. It should probably be grouped in the dry stout style.

Dull med brown. No head, looks like crap. Fudgey and quite coffeeish aroma is very expressive. Sort of dry, maybe even a bit harsh. Still, there’s some decent malt complexity and even a dash of British acidity.
