Irving, Tx - FM Smoke House - on tap. Hazy, light golden pour, soft snow white head, light film of lacing. Cactus pear aroma, hints of pumpkin spice. Watermelon ’flavor’, citrus bitterness, some pomegranate fruitiness. Thick enough mouthfeel. Odd beer and hard to pin down.

Bottle pour avg gold with huge amount of sediment and floaters. Nose honey, citrus, light clove. Taste similar to nose with honey, clove, allspice, citrus. More sweet than spicy.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Hazy yellow with a short-lasting white head. Lots of unidentified particles floating around throughout the glass. Aroma of honey, banana, wheat. Flavors of honey, wheat, light citrus, spice, light floral hops. Additionally, has an off-putting taste that I can’t quite put my finger on, but it definitely detracts from the overall quality of the beer.

Aroma: unique; orange notes but also getting some vinegar and spices; Appearance: golden straw with lots of sediment suspended in the liquid; flat head; Taste: not too wheaty; honey and vinegar-like undertones; not getting any other spices; Palate: medium body with soft carbonation; long sweet finish with some orange coming through; Overall: unusual but doesn’t quite work for me; might be better if paired with the right dish.

Originally sampled on 12/31/13-On tap from Opal Devines @ Penn Field in Austin, Tx. Ah a new beer from a new brewer. Aromas of wheat, malts, and orange peel, which was heightend by the orange wedge in the beer. Nice mid hazy yellow body, fizzy with a nice cap that left some spotty lace. Flavor is about the same as the aroma with wheat and malts upfront with faint orange. Overall a solid American wheat, a step or two above average.
