COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark and deep as West Texas Intermediate! We conditioned this big bodied stout in the keg. Itís on the sweet side, with intense roasted character and a soft bitter finish from Summit and Challenger hops.

This beer has a ton of toasted malts give an overwhelming smoked character to a good stout. I feel like it would greatly improve without the smoke covering the great malt sweetness.

Pours a dark brown color with tan head. Some roasted malt and coffee on the nose, but no hops whatsoever; follows onto the palate. Just an average stout.

At bottle shop with Taylor on a Friday night. Pours half with a circle if lacing. Aroma is very thin, pretty much nothing, almost coffee, almost marshmallow. Taste is, fluffy, homebrew yeast, bad tangy marshmallow. Not very good. Would bang again, but would have to brown bag it.

On tap at the Bluebonnet Brew-off. Poured black with a khaki top and nice lacing. Taste of oats, roasted and toasted malts, and sweet in flavor. Medium carbonation, thick body. Wow, this brew kicks major ass!

On draught at Ginger Man Dallas. Murky brownish-black color with a thin brown head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and hops in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of burnt malt, chocolate and roast coffee. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

A little above average for a stout. Roasted aroma and some choclate notes. Pretty dark with a minimal head. Medium weighted palate that was also smooth with even carbonation. Flavors were relatively mild with roasted sweetness and a minor hops bite at the finish. Good but this brewery does make better.

Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of roasted malts with earthy coffee and dark grains. Flavor has some bitter coffee and bitter roasted malts and some dark grains to smooth it out.

Tap at Common Table, Dallas - deep black with a tan head - silky, smooth texture - this one has the depth and heft of an imperial stout of considerably higher strength - sweet flavors of prune, fig, chocolate, anise - balancing flavors of lightly tart acidity, red wine-like tannins - some note of smoke and a light savory character on the tail end - I loved this one.

Beerenberger (1447) - Fischer, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2014
Dark roasted malts combined a fruit sweetness aromas greet the nose. A coal black pour supporting a espresso hued head and minimal lacing. Rich, robust roasty flavors prevail. Cola, and cherry notes are also present. A burnt bitter aftertaste culminates the pallet experience, Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, a very robust and rewarding experience. Only complaint, and it's a small one, I wish it had a little more body, but I would definitely drink it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep black brown color with a brown foamy head. Very bitter dark chocolate and roasted dark malt. A bit one dimensional.
