2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap (nitro?) at Brewery Õlleklubi in Tallinn, Estonia where it was listed as "Old Town Velvet" on the English menu and Hansa Eerste Velvet" on the Estonian menu. I believe that the "Velvet" was added to indicate that the beer was on nitro. Brewery Õlleklubi tries to look like a brewery, but its house beers are mostly rebranded Latvian beers.
Clear, straw with a near off-white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of grain and light floral hops.
Taste of caramel, light floral hops and grain.
Medium body and medium/low carbonization.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Medium offwhite lasting head. Hazy yellow body with light carbonation. Minty resiny aroma with freshly cut wood notes. Dryish resiny minty taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish mealy fruity spearmint aftertaste with mealy notes. Weird. More like toothpaste than beer. (0.3l draft S. Brevinga, Riga. Accidentally also rated from Alus Stacija, Riga, with exact same scores.)

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Never a smart idea to drink anything unpasteurized with a "best before" date of 5 weeks ago, but I did, and...other than the dirty-socks aroma, it’s actually not too bad. Wouldn’t really put it in the PL category actually, has no adjuncts and some more serious malt. Would like to try a fresher version for sure

330ml from tap, shared with Stefan @S, Brevinga, Tirgonu iela 4, Riga
Golden/orange body, with small creamy layer and some lacing. Honey, hops and floral aroma. Tastes also of dry hops and some orange notes. Too carbonated and served too cold, but it is a very cold day in Riga today:-)
