Pours a clear copper from the can with fluffy off-white head that lasts to leave moderate lace. Aroma is faint, but nice earthy rye notes over citrus grapefruit hops. Taste is way more prominent, big hop character with lasting bitterness and grapefruit pith. Solid pale, nicely done.

Red with. Light tan head. Rye, pine, citrus, light sweetness. Medium bodied. Flavor has enjoyable rye spice, pine notes, grapefruit. Medium dry finish. Nice amount of rye kicks this APA up a notch. I’d stock the fridge with this.

Can. Aroma is hoppy - citrus, a little grassy. There is a bit of a spiciness to it in the aroma but it doesn’t stand out until you taste it. On the palate the rye comes way forward. Making it really stand out.

12 ounce can. Pours a dark amber color. Citrus and rye. Very nice balance. Well done all around.

Poured from 12 ounce can at Rubblebucket concert at Woodward Theater on April 4, 2015. Dark amber/brown hue, nice nostril clearing rye/hop aroma, big but not overpowering rye/hop flavor, emphasis on the rye. Very good brew.

12oz can - I’m reading the can and it says 5.6% ABV along with 40 IBU. Nose is rye and cat urine. Sip adds sounds of appreciation such as mmm and yum not to exclude citrus and a noticeable malty backbone. Ideal for a hot summer’s day in direct sunlight. Cardinals suck a big one.

on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear brown, bubbly ivory head cover, sheets of lace. Taste is malt, with a rye edge that quickly assumes the lead role. Light rye spice enters, along with carbonation, on the swallow, followed by medium hops on the finish. At the very end, the taste warms up a little - it seems to be an aspect of the rye. This is a different kind of rye - this rye has a presence similar to rye bread, only stronger. Interesting, and good.

At SeaJax. Sample. Immediate rye flavor that fades quickly on the tongue. Almost slightly sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Draft: pours a nice dark reddish color with a small off white head. Aromas I get are bready... Some slight fruit, and a little caramel. Taste is nice and crisp, slightly bready. Earthy, but bright and clean. Not as Rye bready as I was hoping for, but good none the less.
