At SeaJax. Sample. Immediate rye flavor that fades quickly on the tongue. Almost slightly sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Draft: pours a nice dark reddish color with a small off white head. Aromas I get are bready... Some slight fruit, and a little caramel. Taste is nice and crisp, slightly bready. Earthy, but bright and clean. Not as Rye bready as I was hoping for, but good none the less.

Draft. Poured clear reddish copper with an average frothy white head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex earthy rye aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced earthy flavor with a medium rye tingly bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex beer.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have some hoppy character, earthy, toasted bready malts, a spicy rye bite, sneaky fruit notes pop in mid palate.

b3shine (5821) - Indiana, USA - APR 2, 2014
Draft to taster (shared by Tmoney99). Looks good for the style; a fairly transparent amberish dark orange with eggshell lacing. Smells solid; malty and spicy with a nicely balanced hop presence. Tastes like it smells, but not as robust. Solid on the palate. not bad, but I wish the taste was as robust as the smell.

On tap. Clear red orange color. Thin off-white head, couple ropes of lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, crisp, light carbonation. Lightly slick. Tropical fruit aromas, lightly spicy, some citrus, caramel malts, rye in the aroma. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Solid, kind of malty rye pale ale. A bit heavier bodied, sweeter than expected.

phaleslu (6807) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 1, 2014
Draft pint at the brewery. Pours a just barely cloudy reddish orange with a small but lasting off-white head that leaves trailing lace streaks. Aroma of toast, biscuit, rye, caramel, and grass. Flavor is cleaner- grass, rye, toast, citrus, and earth. Light-medium bodied, with a dry mouthfeel and medium carbonation. The aroma doesn’t hint at much but the flavor is nice and clean.

Draft sample at Lehr’s meats in Milford. Pours dark gold with orange hue. Nose mango and pine hop, Some sweet character. Tate citrus bite up front, then some hop similar to nose. Mid palate some spiciness from the rye, then grainy malt balanced by sweetness. Pleasing bitter finish. Another nice brew from Rhinegeist
