Saber Tooth Tiger is a Prehistoric IPA that attacks the senses with potent notes of Papaya, Mango and Peach yet finishes it’s prey (your palate) with a crisp clean citrus bitterness. Malts: 2 Row Pale, Pilsner, Flaked Rye. Hops: Bravo, Amarillo, Simcoe.

Growler fill- 5 days old sealed. Pour dark clear copper. Little head. Decent bubbles. Aroma - floral sweetness. Palate- medium body, somewhat oily. Taste- nice bitterness on aftertaste that disappears quickly. Alcohol warming. A very respectable DIPA from the buckeye state. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong hoppy bite from start to finish with a hint of citrus, but you have to search for the citrus. The hops overpower just about every other note in the beer. I love hops, so it's good for me.

Draft: pours orange with a big off white head. Aroma is all bitter citrus, but the flavor balances it out with some underlying sweetness... Honey? Very enjoyable.

Huge tropical fruit on both the nose and palate. Sweet orange, mango and papaya. Caramel and a little pineapple. Hops are great without killing your palate. Nonexistent alcohol

On tap @ GABF. Amber pour with a white head. Big time pineapple/tropical fruit nose. Some mango, grapefruit, and pine. A touch of peach and caramel malt. Flavor is moderately sweet. Caramel, pineapple, mango, and peach. Lots of grapefruit, some resinous pine, and a mild bitterness.

Draft (and growler). Pours a bright copper/dark amber color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor has a nice combination of caramel and toasted malts with pine and fruity hops. This is not the biggest imperial/double ipa, but it is very drinkable and I’m sure I’ll have a few of these over time. How it was released is a completely different story.

Draft pint at Dutchs, glad I didn't go to the brewery event as this beer is at just about every draft account in town. This beer smells great with a fruity bitter hop presence. It pours an orange with white head quickly dissipating to leave a thin lacing. The flavor is a deep fruity and citrus hop attack with a solid malt backbone to balance the ABV and hop profile. Overall a solid DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

32oz growler, sampled at Natifest 2013. Clear orange color. Minimal white head. Few loose bits of lace. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Dry finish. Bigger body. Grassy, citrusy hops. Lightly piney. Nice zesty orange, light spicy hop. Very tasty assertively citrusy DIPA. Light biscuity malt.
Re-rate, 8/8/13: On tap. Clear orange amber color. Little off-white head, soon fades to minimal, leaves only loose lace. Flavor of this is awesome, I would say up there with Dreadnaught. Bigger body, smooth crisp lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Awesome big hop character. Mango, pine, citrus, light spicy hop. Very big spicy hop. Big bitter taste, assertive, lightly zesty. Minimal sweet. Awesome DIPA.
