Draft. Piney aroma, striking rich copper color. Flavors are a bit on the malty sweet side, cut by some citrus, a hint of pine. Kind of what you’d expect from a midwestern take on the west coast IPA style. Really solid, but nothing too revolutionary.

Non Beer Trip Beer Trip Beer #58. 12 ounce can from Whole Foods Cincinnati, 3/11/16. Hazy orange, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of juicy grapefruit, pith, pale malt. The taste is grapefruit, lime, mild tropical fruits, pale malt. Medium bodied, decent balance. Solid beer.

Draft at Western and Southern Open last night. Clear pale pour with creamy head and good retention. Citrus, pine, and caramel in the prototypical west coast vein. Medium sweetness, lots of bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Nothing tropical. Overall: a nice local IPA and a welcome sight at a sporting event.

Boa.
