Yes we are bringing back Rhinelander Export! The beer that started the entire stubby beer bottle craze, but your “shorty” is now grown up. Made with the original recipe from yester-year, it is a refreshing and malty beer with a light and smooth finish. Look for it in your favorite retailer and on premise establishment.

7oz bottle. Thanks to someone at RBSG14 for giving this to me. Shared with alexsdad06. Clear golden color. Thin white head. Some ropes of lace. Bready malt, some corn. Hint of vanilla. Not bad. Moderate sweet taste. Light bite to it. Light bitter. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Nothing special, OK, kind of interesting stuff to try. Basic lager, wouldn’t call it craft. Bit of a cheap edge to it, almost malt liquor -like. Even just 4oz wore on me (it got finished, though)

Small bottle shared by jmagnus87 at the RBSG grand tasting- thanks again, Josh! Pours a clear yellow-gold with a small white head. Just smooth and malty, with pale and crackery malts, grass, and straw. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, malty mouthfeel. Pretty chitl lager. A taste of the Northwoods, finally!

Bottle @ RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a golden appearance with an off white head. Twangy lemony, straw, cracker aroma. Slightly corny, a touch buttery. Nah.

Shared at RBSG 2014. Tame tick. Nose is nothing but a touch of sweetness. Taste is a lot of corn and water. Sweetish and ok. Tame but not too tame to tick

Sampled at RBSG. Clear golden. A sweet sugary aroma. Sweet grains and grass flavor. Some herbal back ground. Nicer that expected.

Pour from a 7 oz bottle. Clear golen brew with white head that quickly fades. Aroma of light malts and some sort of hops. Taste is weak malt at the start with a lightly bitter finish, more of the hops that were in the aroma. The hops are kind of floral but a little green tasting - a little like grass without much bitterness. It’s not an off flavor but seems to crop up here and in some other Minhas Brews. Thin palate. Nice retro design on the six pack and bottle lablels. I guess it is a classic.

These bottles are so small it’s ridiculous! Perfect for hiding in your luggage to bring on airplanes. Also, if you want to smash a dwarf over the head, this bottle is the perfect size for it. Trust me on this. This is actually almost a really good Pilsner-like American lager with a good amount of bitterness and honest-to-god malt character. Unfortunately it also has a weird buttery note that brings out the sweetness and makes it feel a bit heavy on the palate. I guess the small size bottle is something of an advantage because of this. You are not tempted to drink too much.
