Yes we are bringing back Rhinelander Export! The beer that started the entire stubby beer bottle craze, but your ďshortyĒ is now grown up. Made with the original recipe from yester-year, it is a refreshing and malty beer with a light and smooth finish. Look for it in your favorite retailer and on premise establishment.

This is probably about the 20th one of these little suckers Iíve drank now, I think itís about time to give erí a rating.

Pours a clear golden color with a nice little tight white head, that is surprisingly well retained.

The aroma isnít great, doughy & corny for the most part. Not unappetizingly sweat but not particularly crisp smelling either. A mild herbal hoppy note redeems it, although the doughy/corny thing is far less offensive here than it is in a lot of beers.

The flavor is fine, particularly fine for a Minhas beer. Sweet and doughy, but the corniness is left to a minimum, some fruitiness is nice.... I swear I got green apple in some of the bottles, but itís mild if noticeable at all here. Iím guessing thereís some acetaldehyde profile to the beer and that my palate is a little more sensitive than normal when it bothers me in the beer, tonight Iím not really picking it up. The beer is balanced to some degree with a mild bitterness.

Honestly this is a beer I enjoy. I wouldnít have drank something like 20 of them if I didnít like it. At the same time, when you put it under the microscope things surface and become more annoying than when Iím using it as a quick beer in the shower/something to have with dinner/the normal things I use this beer for.
I will be buying another case of it this weekend if the opportunity presents itís self.

7oz baby bottle. This stuff is actually not that bad. Probably one of the better beers brewed at Minhas. Surprisingly sweet and slightly grainy, I could drink a lot of these. Actually, I have. Me and about 15 other buddies were in an Ice-fishing tournament and we had already finished 12 cases by 9am. íTwas a good day!

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2012 Well obviously extra points for the coolest bottle ever. Pours a surprisingly deep gold with a small white head. Nose and taste provide surprisingly honey sweetness and a distinct almond tone. A bit on the sweet and corny side, but still quite nice, especially in 7-oz form. Thanks, Andy and Dennetta!

Poured from bottle, Iím pretty sure that drowland drank an entire case of this stuff last week after the GTMW, pours a dark yellowish golden with a fizzy white head, aroma has a good amount of bread and some yeast, flavor has a sweet front end with a finish of grain, pretty clean, actually not terrible, touche drowland.

Thin white haed, poof! Gone! Lovely, light, urine hued lager. Nose is soft grains and a little grass. Light bodied with yer typical PL carbonation (though better carbonation than some recently quaffed RIS,s i,ve had,,arf, arf!) though a certain twangyness shines through.Light grainy malts, lil sugary, some silage notes with faint apple and breads. Finish is too lasting and a bit sweet. uuuuuuuuuurrrp. Thanks christ it was only a pony bottle. You can now purchase this lovely brew @statelineliquors! Yeah Roberrrrrrrrrrrrt! Go buddy! ;)

Pours a light golden color. Smell is of malts and grains. Taste is the same, malts, corn, some grains. Feels highly carbonated in the mouth and overall is your average pale lager.

Single bottle purchased from Jerryís Liqour in Drumheller, AB on 06/01/2012. Colour: medium-dark yellow with no head. Nose: sweet nose, picked out a hint of cherry among the masses of malt. Taste: Medium-high sweet, light bitter, medium-light sour. Sugary and malty with a dry finish. A fluttering of grain. Sticky mouth. Typical Minhas sh!t.

Bottle from 17thFloor, thanks! Pours brilliantly clear and faintly gold, fizzy head that persists. Nose is grainy and wet, sweetness to the nose. On tasting, itís sweet. Wickedly sweet. Like a smaller Big Hurt Beer. Not good...
