COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yes we are bringing back Rhinelander Export! The beer that started the entire stubby beer bottle craze, but your “shorty” is now grown up. Made with the original recipe from yester-year, it is a refreshing and malty beer with a light and smooth finish. Look for it in your favorite retailer and on premise establishment.

This beer is a little too sweet for my taste. Do not let it get warm! Overall not horrible and I like the shorty. A neat novelty from Rhinelander, WI. Give it a try.

Bottle thanks to portableparty! Clear medium yellow pour, a little carbonation and an aroma of sweet corn. Flavor is also sugary sweet corn, but no real off flavors anywhere. Tolerable!

Nip bottle shared by jcwattsrugger. Poured a light straw gold body with a foamy white head. Super sweet aroma, smells like wort, wet grains, cream corn. Medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, wort, dough, grains and sweet toast. Like the bottle, beer is okay.

Bottle. Plus a clear light golden wi a slight white head. Corn like aroma with something like a light soft cheese note as well. Light mouthfeel. Cream sweet corn like taste. Meh, it’s not terrible but not form me really.

7 oz. bottle thanks Josh and Sammy! Pours clear gold with a quick tight soapy head that leaves a wispy film. Aroma is sweet grain light grass and fruitiness ( is this Grain Belt?) Taste is more sweet grain grass and malt with a little bitterness and fruitiness like apple, again is this Grain Belt Premium in a cute little bottle? Palate is thin and dry. I like!

Bottle from jmagnus. Cool little 7oz bottle. typical pale lager but cleaner and more refreshing than most.

Bottle thanks to Josh at the RBSG. Josh was pimpin’ these hard and I took one home to try. Everything you love in an american pale lager is here. Corn and bread in the nose, slightly sweet taste with a touch of bitterness and a hint of fruit. Not too bad.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2013 Had a ’shorty’ at a local bar in Rhinelander (Bucket Heads). Aroma was of grassy malts. The taste was similar - light, with grassy malts followed by a hint of sweetness and a very mild hop finish. It did not have the pungent corn/hop combo that many mass-produced pale lagers possess. Palate was OK and typical of most pale lagers. Overall, I liked this brew, since I am not a big hop fan. I hope they come out with a 12 oz. version can again in the near future.

Draft at the brewery. If you like simple, plain ol’ American lagers, this ain’t terrible. Smooth and exceptionally clean. Drinks with a little bit of a sweet, wheaty finish. (#5124, 7/3/2013)
