1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 hopscotch (8242) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2013
Bottle... Clear, pale-golden lager with a tiny, fizzy, white head. The aroma is a muddled assortment of doughy, red delicious apple, creamed corn and sugar cookie notes. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is painfully sweet - honey, golden raisins and other esters and phenols that (thankfully) have no business being in a pilsner or pale lager. Next-to no bitterness here. Sweet, sweet, sweet finish. Bottle courtesy of GhostFace!
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 BMan1113VR (7420) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 15, 2011
207ml bottle thanks to SS. Straight pour into a tulip yields a clear golden yellow body with a small white head that takes about a minute to fade. Aromas of corn, huge DMS (cooked turnips), pepper, body odor, a hint of a fruit ester (in a lager, I know), a bit doughy. Flavors of DMS (STRONG), grainy, cooked vegetables. Light minerallity. The rest of the malt bill is straw like with a light bready nature. A very light bitterness that fades quickly, neutral balance. Medium to lively bubbles, thinner body. Dry, light carbonic bite.
I am not particularly sensitive to DMS, but this was really loaded with it! Glad it came in a small bottle.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ughsmash (6723) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 6, 2011
Shorty. Poured crystal-clear, bright golden with a fairly short-lived white head. The aroma picked up honey and corn sweetness with not much on top of it.. non-offensive, but non-enticing. The flavor found sticky honey and a pinch of vanilla at the core.. light, tacky bitterness around, but non-identifiable.. a tad tart. Light-bodied and dry on the palate.. prickly carbonation.. OK feel. Drinkable.
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 DuffMan (5243) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 29, 2012
Tiny munchkin bottle. Pale yellow, average white head. Sweet corn and overripe banana aroma with a chemical-like edge. Harsh sweet corny grainy flavour, like a cheap-ass malt liquor it’s do sweet! Some poorly made pale lagers don’t taste like much of anything, but this is truly fucking awful. Minhas sucks dog cock.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Skyview (5031) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Sampled on draught at the Great Northern Beer Festival in Eagle River, WI. Pours a clear light golden straw colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin ring and no lacing. Aroma is slightly fruity, some golden multi-grain malt, floral hops and a touch of honey. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, a hint of corn, grassy hop with some thin bitterness. Finish is crisp, clean-cut with a very faint honey aftertaste. Though not considered a highly rated craft beer, it is still a decent session light beer, especially when the 7-oz Shorty bottles return after a 43 year absence.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 drowland (4999) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - AUG 12, 2012
8/11/12. I drank about 20 of these little guys at cbfobes’ place last night. Cheap, light, corny, and mildly unoffensive. Can’t complain, really.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 crossovert (4772) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 30, 2011
207ml "shorty" bottle. Cost .49 cents, thought that was a bit steep but the bottle got me.
It pours a golden yellow with a foamy white head.
Smell has some grape and corn.
The flavor is fruity with some mineral water and corn. Maybe better than the original but this one seems over priced, normally I would put the blurb that this is the same as bmc but cheaper but this is like an expensive bmc.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 presario (4406) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 3, 2012
7oz bottle for 99 cents. No head on amber. Smells a little like corn syrup and grain. Tastes of almost nothing with a bit of roughness in the back half and hints of sugar.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BVery (4305) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Shorty bottle. Clear golden pour with a minimal white head. Aroma is corn and honey. Lighter palate with some carbonation. Taste is honey and corn as well. Thanks, Bob, for the bottle - glad I was able to try it.

Shorty courtesy of Skyview. Yellow color with a small head. Light sugar, rice and grain aroma. Very light grainy flavor. Seems sweetish, with a bit of bitterness in the finish.
