Bottle: Filtered.
A complicated beer using 4 types of Warminster malt and complimented with the bitterness of Target hops and the slightly citrus Northdown variety, to give a bold, refreshing Bitter.

Malty bitter nose and taste, but a very healthy one in both areas. Looks the part too.

500ml brown glass bottle from Tesco, Swansea. Some roasty notes in this drinkable bitter. Very nice.

Bottle from Tesco Extra, Bridgend, Wales, 21.08.11 Pours amber good clarity with a filmy white head. Fruit & toffee on the nose and in mouth, slight boiled sweet quality to this. Soft in the mouth, lacks a little in bitterness, though there is some, quite dry at end. Its marginally better than the Rhymney Export and overall whilst not exciting it’s fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Clear brown beer. Soft palate. Soft fresh malt - a bit watery but in a refreshing mineral water sort of way! A little bit of hop at the end. A curious beer but a clean tasting one!

50cl bottle from a supermarket in Swansea. It pours a deep copper liquid with a medium-high white spongy head that lasts throughout the beer, but leaves not much lacing. The aroma is complex, with a mild coffee touch, burnt caramel, a little fruitiness, wheat and some distant floral hops. It tastes likewise, with a spoiling graininess at the beginning. It is medium sweet with a little bitterness. Softly carbonated, light bodied for an ale and smooth, it ends dry. A thirst-quencher; very drinkable, but nothing special. Presentation is smart, but a customized crown cap would be appreciated.

500ml bottle, Tesco. Malty amber ale, with a rounded biscuity taste. It’s a good, bitter beer, ever so slightly grainy on the tongue, but with a decent body and just a hint of red berries in the finish.
