Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass. Pours a lovely golden/amber colour with a decent head. Smells of mid/light malts and some nice fruity English hops. Tastes oh so drinkable, balanced malts and hops making it tasty and refreshing but not overbearing in any aspect. Overall an excellent session bitter, a marvel at such a low abv.

Bottle, pours a red-tinged brown with a fast-settling head. Dry-sweet toffee malt on the nose plus faint hops. Peppery bitterness over dry-sweet malt, faint hints of sulphur and fudge, a very nice bitter.

Bottle. Brown-amber bitter, no head and light carbonation. Light hoppy nose with strawberry and lemon hints. Crisp, dry hoppy taste, lacking flavours, but with plenty of bitter hit. A bit watery in taste and palate.

BlackHaddock (6344) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2016
3rd Feb 2016: 500ml bottle from a local Lydl store. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home. Looked good, deep off-white foaming head on a clear bright and light amber coloured body. Malts lead the way in both the aroma and semi-sweet taste, pleasant bitter finish and aftertaste. Nice, easy drinking Bitter, nothing spectacular flavour wise but a very good beer all round.

Lidl. Rocky cream collar over bright bronze. Attractively buttery Danish biscuit aroma with caraway-like spice and mint chocolate hints. Toffee and milk chocolate digestive sweetness, aniseed big regional yeast and gently herbal hop with a light mineral tang. Well made and behaved bog standard brown bitter (BSBB).

50cl bottle from Lidl. Pale chestnut with a billowing white head; malty aroma with a trace of red fruit; lively in the mouth, sweet and malty with a short grassy bitterness; and a biscuity finish. A basic bitter.

Bottle, from Lidl. Dirty golden brown, thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Gently sweet caramel and a low earthy hoppiness in the nose, soft and sweet initially in the mouth with a building dry earthy bitterness that becomes dominant, brief lingering dry bitter finish with low toffee notes.
