Commercial Description:
A genuine Christmas brew. Six different types of malt give the beer its chestnut brown colour and a well-rounded flavour. Jule Ale is brewed with Czech Saazer hops and American Cascade hops. A powerful beer that warms in the winter. Should be enjoyed at 6-8 degrees Celsius.

Bottle from Skinnyviking (bb.16/4-08). One-finger, off-white head resting on a nice mahogany body. Plain malty aroma leading to a flavour dominated by dark berries with spicy notes. Short, malty endnotes. Early June in sunny Copenhagen was certainly not the right time to drink this one (02.06.2008).

Bottle. Clear reddish brown colour with a little head. Aroma of vegetables and diacetyl, and caramel. Flavour of diacetyl, malt, caramel, and vegatables. UGLY!

It’s a red/brown beer and the head is very loose and quickly disappearing. The aroma is sweet, malty and spicy with some sourness. The flavour is sweet, malty and spicy, but the tart sourness comes along and it spoils the overall impression for me.

Hazy chestnut color; big creamy head. Strong spicy aroma (cinnamon over all) and strange fruitness (raisins and oranges, somehow). Medium body, strong caramel flavor, quite dry at the end, and some spices; it’s also soapy and artificial, with a touch of yeast. Chaotic and unbalanced.

Bottle. Hazy orange brown coloured with a small beige head. Very spicy aroma of glögg, pepper cakes and caramel. Spicy flavour of liquorice, caramel and pepper cakes. Too spicy.
