•A German-style Pilsner •Its lively hop character provides the perfect complement to white meats and sausages, and pairs well with dishes with a spicy kick

Presents well, great colour and solid head. Has a promising flavour which fades quickly and disappointingly.

Bière blonde de 5 % d’alcool. Elle possède un léger col mousseux au versement. On sent même un odorat amer. Elle possède un goût de citron et de pamplemousse en finale. Correcte !!

Lame and less Rickards than the other brews. This one doesn’t try to straddle the divide between something like Coors Light and a great beer. It just hangs out on the lame side of mediocrity.

33 cl bottle, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Yellow-golden colour, thick foamy head with very active looking carbonation. Mild earthy aroma, bready with some floral. Somewhat soapy taste, then faint bubblegum and even fainter vanilla on the finish. Better than I expected.

On tap, somewhere in one ofthe airports at some poin on my trip home from the maritimes. How do you turn a six hour flight into a fourteen hour marathon stopover odyssey? Book on points with Air Crapada! Anyway, I thought this was going to be a Molson Canadian clone that I’d have to choke down, but it was actually okay. The overly sweet adjuncty pale malts are still here, but there is actually some grassy hops in here, faint but present nonetheless. Not aweful, but not something I will be returning to either. A barely-there pilsener.

Couleur d’un jaune très pâle. Arôme quelques peu florale. Goût léger, plus elle se réchauffe et moins elle est bonne. Plutôt ordinaire.

Single can purchased from an LCBO in Ottawa, Ontario on 06/06/2012. Colour: Dark yellow, light orange, minimal white head. Nose: The yeast and malt is light but present, and it mingles with a delicious vanilla presence. Light citrus in the background. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. Light lemon custard pie seems to be a staple from start to finish (but not sweet), vanilla appears again in the finish. The hops are not stringent or dominating but they play great background music throughout. A decent drink.

I tried this beer on May 13, 2012 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a white head that disappeared quickly. The aroma is grainy malt, some metallic to9nes, and a weak floaral bouquet. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is grainy with some sour and acidic tones. A pretty decent macro.

341mL. Oh joy, another Rickard’s. A clear gold to yellow pour creates a weak, suddy white head that leaves behind webby, white lace. Nose is small corn. Taste is very soapy and grassy hop dominant. Suddy mouthfeel. Very grassy. Not too bad and I can see they attempted a hoppy pilsener but the end result is a little too bland and I think most people will not be able to appreciate the subtlety.
