3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, dark yellow almost amber with small quickly disappearing white head. somewhat malty and barely bitter. notes of corn, citrus, minimal hops. finishes with a nutty aftertaste (peanuts?). Probably one of the better macro beers. Would like to see this replace some of the swell at the local pubs.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Reddish colour, some aroma and taste of hops, so there’s a bit of a bitter flavour, but like everything from Rickard’s is underplayed and commercial.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
from the can: thick white head, some hoppy-flowery aroma. medium carbonation. thick lacings on the glass. noticeable hops (just barely) on the tongue. some hops in the finish. Basically, this comes off as a typical macro brew with a more pronounced shot of hops. In essence, it’s not great. ...but I am going to say it’s the best typical macro-brewed lager that I have ever had. Coors Light, this stuff ain’t.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Seems like Molson’s is trying to use the Rickards brand to try and do a few beers that are in different styles. At least their Rickards white is a decent attempt at a Witbier for a macro. This is surprisingly labelled as a German-style Pilsner but sure does not taste anything like one. With the name blonde I thought they were trying to imitate a Quebec blonde and it at least closer in taste to that than to a German pils though still not a good example of one. The strongest taste to this is a soapy flavour with a little bit of citrus and no distinguishable hop flavour. Bland and watery though not entirely unpleasant like some of Molson’s other beers. Maybe an ok beer if you could get really cheap pitchers at a student bar. It is drinkable but nothing more.

341mL. Oh joy, another Rickard’s. A clear gold to yellow pour creates a weak, suddy white head that leaves behind webby, white lace. Nose is small corn. Taste is very soapy and grassy hop dominant. Suddy mouthfeel. Very grassy. Not too bad and I can see they attempted a hoppy pilsener but the end result is a little too bland and I think most people will not be able to appreciate the subtlety.
