This blonde poured a clear, light yellow colour with a bright white, frothy head. Scents include eggs, wood and hay. First swig was thin and distantly malty with a little fruit in the distant background. Finish was thin with light grape flavours.

[My bottle (341ml) shared with HogTownHarry] Pours a clear gold with a small diminishing frothy white head. No lacing. Mild and dull aroma of grain, caramel malt and a bit of sugar. Flavour’s the same, caramel malt and grain. Light bitter finish. Average bodied. A bunch of ’meh’.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Clear rich yellow with medium sized off-white foamy head that dissipates fast, faint bready malt aroma, high carbonation, light hops bitterness, abrupt finish. Average pilsener.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
0.473 can. Clear, gold color and a medium, thin, white head. Aroma of cheap malts, delicate hops, yeasts, and a tad of metal. Taste is simple, grainy, hackneyed. Light body, slick texture, and above-average carbonation. Finish is short, tasteless, and utterly not resembling a blonde beer it is purported to be. Overall a bad pale lager, hard to even call it a pilsner as its hoppy character is not very... hoppy.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
473 ml can from TBS, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear deep golden with a tight, bright white head.
Aroma: Some grainy maltiness, reasonably nice hops as floral, lightly fruity, a bit peppery, fairly clean.
Palate: Medium body, fairly full, fine carbonation, smooth-ish.
Flav.: Taste more like a fair to decent APA than a Pils, with some nice grainy malt contribution and a fairly fruity and slightly spicy hop character; dry with moderate-ish bitterness and a pleasantly malty, lightly hoppy/fruity finish.
I don’t mind this.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Appearance: clear straw with one finger of tight white head, good retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: grainy biscuity malt, mild citrus and pepper. (4/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (4/10) Palate: light body, moderate carbonation, off-dry slightly peppery finish. (3/5)
Bog standard pale euro lager/pils. Decently crisp and drinkable when cold, pretty enough for the style. OK, maybe slightly better than bog standard. But only slightly. (9/20)

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
341 ml bottle from a four-style Rickard’s twelve-pack from Sobeys Liquor outlet (and it came with a free T-shirt - go, me!), served in a pilsner flute, Pours a beautiful bright gold with moderate carbonation and a white, meringue-like head that leaves bubbly lace loops. Aroma is composed of lightly toasted malt and herbal, even woody, hops that are a bit peppery; flavor is much the same...softly expressed malts and hops, just sweet enough, and a trace of pepper. Thin-bodied, with a clean finish. Compared to other OG pilsners from guys like Urquell or Radeberger, its key elements are weak or muffled, but it’s still very pleasant drinking from a subset of a larger brewer, and that commands respect from me. Nice!
