COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the style of English porters, Rickard’s Dark is creamy with a smooth finish that holds just a hint of pure Quebec maple syrup.

Aroma of dark roast malt and maple aka high fructose corn syrup. Clear reddish brown, too light of a shade here, really no different than the Rickard’s Red lager. Flavor is not as sweet as expected, which means it is still very sweet while stopping short of a sugar bomb. Thin bodied, good as a commercial dark lager, not so much as an English Porter.

Bottle (341 ml). Shared by Franky Boy, thanks dude! Clear brown with a small beige head, some lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, maple syrup and slight acidic notes. Taste is about the same with the acidity being more present and persistent. Thin body. Watery. Acidic. The worst from the 4 Rickard’s I’ve "tasted".

From bottle, courtesy of Frank. Dull dusty grain, a bit of oxidized caramel and no discernible hops. Coppery dark brown clear with creamy-foamy lacing tan head. Medium-light body with medium-light carbonation. Starts medium sweet with brown sugar, caramel, and light grain dust. Mild astringency with nutty bitter finish and some lingering sweetness. Chalky after.

Pours a clear dark brown with a small white head. Aroma of faint roasted malt and a hint of maple. Taste is roasted malts, faint coffee. A step in the right direction but molson needs to not water their shit down.

Correcte !

341ml bottle. Dark brick with a light brown head. Sweet and slightly artificial malt, bit of molasses, caramel, bit of fruit. High carbonation, mild body, little sweet, unpleasant finish.
