Commercial Description:
Even in its infancy, connoisseurs have recognized that Rickard's Honey Brown is different from the mainstream. Intended for the consumer who appreciates a quality brew, it is unique and flavourful, a medium brown ale that is very smooth and easy to drink. Honey Brown offers both a pleasant malt aroma and character. Brewed in the style of traditional English Brown ales, Rickard's Honey Brown is topped off with a hint of honey, delivering a delightful finish on every beer drinker's palette.

I am reluctant to try honey beers however my buddy told me it was good and after trying it i was impressed. Smooth and easy to drink. Not too much honey either.

Color could resemble dark golden honey, with a fluffy white head but that is where the resemblence to a ’Honey Brown’ stops. Flavor was thin with almost no ’malt aroma and character’ (cue the Commercial description). It is decent beer, but come one, give me something to remember. This is another completely forgettable beer from the Molson people.

341 mL bottle: light red brown. Creamy off-white head. A slightly metallic aroma and a touch of artificial sweetness make up an all-together boring palate. Missing both a hop profile and a malt bill, this is closer to water with caramel color added than a lager. Flavour isn’t really offensive in any way...it is not really flavourful in any way either...

Bottle. Ah, Rickards Honey, this promises to be shit-tastic. Pours a bubbly clear orange-copper with an average size foamy off-white head. Mild aroma of grain, caramel malt and some sweet honey. Cloying honey flavour, bleargh. No hops at all in the aroma or flavour. Average bodied. Basically a Molson beer with cloying honey syrup added. Yuck.

On tap in Halifax Airport Bar. Not much aroma. Thin to non existent head. Clear brown colour. Sweet, slightly nutty aroma. Crisp ale. Slight acidic after taste.

Bouteille 341ml.
