Well, as a light ale, it’s passable... but it’s advertised as an IPA when it is DEFINITELY NOT an IPA. This is a problem because people who don’t know better will think it’s an IPA and end up thinking real IPAs are not...

On tap at QP. Was called a Traditional Pale Ale rather than an India Pale Ale, which is a far more accurate description... Pours a decent gold colour, with a small white, foamy head. A little bit of hop in the aroma, though it also smells oddly apple like. Taste... this ale is empty. Devoid of any significant hops, malt, or much accenting flavours. Really easy going down, I suppose it is something you could drink a lot of. Inoffensive, but terribly uninteresting. Easily the worst of the Rickards beers I have tried.

On tap at Dooly’s in Waterloo. Wow. Really? Seriously? I mean, like, really? No way. For serious? Oh man, that’s ridiculous. I may not be a corn connoisseur, but this gem is definitely something not worth missing out on. I’m not sure there are actually any hops in this, which is a pretty bold strategy for an IPA, I’m curious to see if it’ll pay off for them in the long run. What a find!

Poor excuse for an India Pale Ale!. We all know Keith’s isent a real IPA but wow this one is well below anything labled IPA that ive ever put my lips around. Very weak taste that tasted way too flat for my tastes.

Well clearly I’m not alone on this one. This experience was atrocious. We ordered a pitcher of it because it was on sale. It wasn’t hard to find out why. No discernable aroma, no hop flavor or taste, watery - very watery. I’m not even sure what this was supposed to be? The only thing pale about the whole experience was my skin color after I put this liquid in my mouth. Dare I say you’d be better off ordering a Bud or Coors light?
