I tried this beer on March 5, 2008 at ’Jack Astors’ in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was a cloudy metallic gold in colour with a very white head. The aroma was citrusy in nature with some grainy malt. The mouthfeel was watery and medium carbonation was apparent. The taste was quite diluted with some citrusy tones and a little malt. Quite disappointing really.

Poured from bottle. Nice golden orange color. Hazy with some sediment. Decent head, but little retention. Had typical malty smell, but with a little spice and citrus. Tasted the same. Pretty good. I have had it on draft as well as bottle. Both decent. A slice of orange certainly adds to the citrus flavor.

341 ml bottle - poured a typical cloudy wit appearance, though slightly dull. Decent white head that settled to a thin layer but remained for most of the glass. Aroma kind of wit-lite, some clove spiciness and citrus, with a slight sour element. Flavour the same - enjoyable, if not entirely earth-shattering. Overall, a decent macro wit effort, and a good gateway beer for many. Also, often one of the only palatable options on tap in macro-dominated bars.

341 mL Bottle. This has got to be truly the UFO of the Molson line: Unidentified Fermenting Object, complete with a layer of sediment at the bottom. Cloudy gold-orange colour with a scanty bubbly white head that leaves some lace on the sides, with a very nice but unusual aroma that reminds me of fresh fruit and produce at an outdoor farmer’s market. The aroma intrigues me and I want to find out more. In the flavor, orange rind and tangerine rind predominate, there is a whisper of spice, and then ending in a finish with a curious note of celery leaf, although the flavor is not particularly intense. I can see why some beer drinkers like to add a wedge of orange to this one. Actually it is quite refreshing.

Pours a hazy orange/yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma has lots of orange and tangerine, some banana, yeast, and a little spice (clove). Tastes of tangerine and orange with some clove, yeast a slightly metallic finish, and that’s about it. Watery mouth feel and carbonation seems a little off. I will drink this on tap, but not very often.

on tap shark club lethbridge. Lots of orange on the nose. Cloudy orange color. Creamy smooth and refreshing flavor of citrus fruit. It looks and sounds good, but it is the worst weiss I have ever had.

On tap at O’Shea’s in Toon Town. Pours cloudy with a medium white head. Slight coriander orange aroma. Flavor is definitely like a watered-down Hoegaarten. The mild spiciness is nice. Chalky. Has only a little pepper on the tongue.

pours hazy gold, bright and airy citrus aroma. thin taste with hints of tangerine. fairly carbonated. seems well suited to hot days, opposed to this winter night.
