2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Malone’s Urban Drinkery, Vancouver
Muddy deep blond color, creamy head. The aroma is a bit lemony. Smooth mouthfeel, with light wheat flavor, very low bitterness, a touch of crispy malt, and a hint of lemon.
Simple but not bad.

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Draught, Christie’s Carriage House
Cloudy dark yellow. Orangey, malty nose. The body starts full but almost immediately after the first liquid rolls down my throat the whole thing comes undone. Gasoline and spent grains come in, with a hint of citrus and precious little else. This is a bait and switch, the way it looks and smells like a decent wit but then ends up really sucking. Gimme sugar, gimme spice, gimme wheat and it’ll all be nice. Promise me that and then don’t deliver and I will not be a happy lad.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tap at Montreal Trudeau Airport (half way to the BA gate) - 04/03/12.
Pale cloudy yellow with a small white head and an orange on the edge of the glass that was promptly dismissed !
Sweet malty smell with orange.
Citrus and yeast flavour, pretty bland.
Watery and a little too much carbonation.
I didn’t know at the time, but suspected it was a BMC craft gimic a la Blue Moon.
Carcass dressed as mutton!!!

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
16 ounce can courtesy of Kinz. Pours a hazy orange with a large creamy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of cheap wheat, play doh and citrusy fruit notes. The taste is bready grains, play-doh, dry citrus notes. Thin-medium bodied. Palatable but the clay, play-doh thing is offputting.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap at the Radisson in Saskatoon, SK. The pour is very ugly, like a dirty pee color: deep brownish yellow, hazy like a UTI voiding sample. No head retention and no lace. Here is a beer exhibiting the very rare 1/5 for appearance. Nose is phenol heavy, plasticy, lots of baby powder, air freshener, and mild butter. Taste is soapy, heavy carbonation dominating, with loads of buttered cornbread. Faux heavy body created by what seems to be a diacetyl problem given overall soapiness combined with a big wallop of butter.
