Weak! Boring! The aroma is weak, some malt, orange peel, spicy. The appearance is a VERY hazy orange, thick white head. Looks like a liquified cream-scicle. The flavor was also weak, like a typical witbier, but weaker: malt, orange peel, spicy. The finish was non-existent, like drinking water. Medium thickness. This beer is weak. Woefully weak.

I like to think I know this catagory of brews pretty well and this one was just bad. I’m not even sure what this was supposed to be? Hazy gold color with ample head gives way to a strange aroma and flavor of light citris, it’s overly malted, and with only the faintest hint of wheat. I can see picking this one even on a hot day.

on tap at some bar in montreal. Less flavor than most wits. I’m not a huge fan of the style to begin with, and this one didn’t change my mind at all. Some citrus/orange flavors, but not much else going on there.

Lagerboy (663) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 22, 2011
Cloudy sewage yellow, semi resilient white foam head. Floral citrusy aroma. Cloying infused flavors of orange zest and spices taste artificial. A mass produced, industrial swill North American bastardized version of a Belgium Wit. Surprisingly drinkable. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2007 On tap: Pours a cloudy golden colour. Mine was served with an orange wedge and I couldn’t tell if the citrus was coming from the beer or the actual orange. Either way, the citrus flavour was way overdone. The wheaty finish was helped to was away the taste of a dilluted C-plus soda. Certainly not the greatest wheat beer on the market but it’s Ok given the other Rickard’s crap on the market. Re-rate: I recently had this on tap at Tiger Jack’s in London, ON and it was one of the most disgusting vile beers ever......I don’t know if the keg was messed up but stay away!!! I couldn’t even choke back my pint.

Not being a fan of wheat beers, all I can say this is one of the best of the worst. But if you like wheat beers, then you should like this one.
