Geschmack ebenfalls leicht malzig, Karamell, fruchtig, Gewürze.

50cl fliptop bb10/04 shared with bastarda. Prickly tart with a herbal (camomile, bog myrtle) and lemon nettle tea nose. Body is both smooth and chalky like pollenated wild honey, with a non-sticky sweet middle part accompanied by fruity apricot notes. Lively, powdery yeast profile falls flat on a dry flowery finish, an abrupt but quenching end to this stimulating bayberry show from the Danish-German border. Very interesting, courageous and at that succesful take on a hopless gruit beer - extra marks for the aromatic sour touch.

Interesting beer - brewed without any hops; nose is fresh, tart, a little bit of honey, tastes likewise, with a small hint of apricot, passion fruit and some forest herbs, sorrell, even a bit of woodruff. This all vanishes quickly, with a tart and refreshing finish. Nice and special summer beer.

Beer pours out in a quite cloudy dirty golden colour with low to none head and medium to thin body. Aroma of acid and citrus. Taste of sourness, acid, hops, hay, straw and sour berries. Hints of dust and cork. Okay to drink, drinkable, but just not my kind of beer I like.

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweetish herbal-floral aroma, juniper berry-like, hints of lavender, a touch of bath salt. Taste is minimally sweet malty, herbal-floral, juniper berry-like, hints of lavender, unspecific fruity. Not an almighty sensation, but it works.
