500ml bottle. Clear, very dark red to brown colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity, dark malty aroma, minimally spicy with hints of milk chocolate and biscuit. Taste is moderately sweet dark fruity, slightly vinous, bitter finish with hints of alcohol.

Bottle at Hamburger Craft Beer Day 2012, deep brown with a lasting thin off-white heads, light worty nose, then a full malty roast-bitter body with chocolate and dark fruit notes and some roast caramel, then a dry-sweet finish.

Bottle. Dark red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is smoked, coffee, caramel. Flavour is smoked, coffee, caramel, hop. Bitter smoked finish. Nice beer.

Bottle, courtesy of yngwie.Pours brown with a creamy off-white head.Aroma of malt, fruitiness, burnt and grains.Flavor is sweet and smoked with some malt and ham.Medium body, average carbonation.Nice and weird.

Bottle. A dark reddish brown beer with a two-finger, off-white head of moderate size. Smoked nose, of the German kind, with some coffee-like notes and some dried fruits. There’s supposed to be some brett too, but in the aroma I can’t find that. Wouldn’t have found it in the flavor either I think, if it wasn’t for the commercial description. Roasted malts and smoked malts too. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Certainly a beer I could drink every now and then, tasteful and pleasant. Nice. 110917

Pours reddish dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, smoke. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. with a smoked roasted malt and light brett finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Aromatisch schokoladenmalziger Antrunk. Dies steigert sich im Mittelteil und ist überaus aromatisch, hintergründig leicht rauchig nach Schinken. Aromatisch süß malziger Abgang, hier etwas milder aber dennoch vollmundig. Sehr süffiges Porter! Danke an Jevers Zeuge!

On tap. Pours dark brown - close to black - with an orange hue and a delicious and creamy cappuchino head. The nose has plenty of smoke and burned malts. Very rich body, hard roasted malts and some licorice. Very malt bitter finish. A solid Porter - especially for Germany - but a slightly musty edge detracts. 200810
