COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Pours out in a deep dark black colour with low steady head and medium body. Nose of malt and roast. Taste of intense malt, roast, leaves and woods. Smokey hints. I guess this beer ain’t that bad if you like them smoked but I just can’t see (and taste) any pleasures in beers like these.

Bottle. A dark reddish brown beer with a two-finger, off-white head of moderate size. Smoked nose, of the German kind, with some coffee-like notes and some dried fruits. There’s supposed to be some brett too, but in the aroma I can’t find that. Wouldn’t have found it in the flavor either I think, if it wasn’t for the commercial description. Roasted malts and smoked malts too. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Certainly a beer I could drink every now and then, tasteful and pleasant. Nice. 110917
