Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Pours a clear golden brownish color. Aromas of mild berries, wheat bread, and a touch of hops. Flavor is a nice balance of soft fruit flavor with malts and a crisp dry finish. I’m not big on fruit beers, but this one has a subdued flavor, not over the top.

On tap at Moeder de Gans, Teuven. Made with Abbesse de Mouland cherries from Voeren. Deep red orange with a nice pinkish head. Complex yeasty and fruity aroma. Surprisingly dry, though with some fruity sweetness. A bit perfumey. Quite good.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (7312) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 25, 2009
Huge, dense head with a yellowish or pinkish shine, over reddish-orange beer. Mildly sweet, fruity-aromatic nose. Fruit could be indifferently cherry, raspberry or even redcurrant. Harsh, spicy flaovur, starting very shortly as bitter, then mainly sweet, with a faint threat for cloying. Fruitiness all but gone, just a faint aromatic finish left. Medium bodied, cloying not setting through. Bit watery, even. Rather unassuming, and also uninteresting fruitbeer. Get some serious cherries, will ya!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 SHIG (3061) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - APR 7, 2008
Bottle: Dirty ruby red pour with a pink off white head. The aroma is sweet fruit and malt. Taste is a sweet fruit, that subsides to a caramel malt. Very interesting fruit beer, almost like a US instead of a Belgium.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 skortila (4166) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - AUG 25, 2007
Strong aroma of berries, not artificial, some caramel malt in it. Hazy, dark red coloured with a large reddish-beige head. Taste is sweet, fruity (cherry) with some caramel malts. Some carbonation in it. Some bitterness. Thanks to my parents who found this one at a beer festival somewhere near Hasselt I believe.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - APR 9, 2007
(bottle, traded with DerDoppelbock) Hazy, red coloured hue with loads of floaties swimming around and a big pinkish foamy head. Dusty, moderately sweet and fruity, slightly artificial cherry-like aroma. Sweet flavour with a bitter edge in the finish, medium bodied, crispy mouthfeel. The cherry notes are not extremely intense; finishes quite bitter with a slightly sour, cherry fruity aftertaste. The alcohol presence is obvious and a little bit harsh. Mediocre Fruit-beer.
