(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub on June 5, 2010. Rich coffee and brown sugar aroma. Decent body and less watery than the previous Ridge beers I’d tried. After having tried a Brown Ale at Olde Schoolhouse in Winthrop a few days before, this beer ranks only 0.2 behind – which is darn good. Winner for flavour at this brewpub but that wasn’t difficult with the competition. 7/3/7/3/14

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Brown body with small lasting head. Aroma was slightly nutty but nothing else. Beer was quite thin for a nut brown although the finish was pretty smooth.

Draught at the brewpub
Dark brown color, with a thin creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt and cardboard, light yeast too. The body structure is correct, the mouthfeel quite dry; pleasant flavor, with accent on the roasted malts, but also some coffee and a touch of dark chocolate; correct bitterness. A fair Brown Ale.
