Pours a murky, discombobulated tea brown with a nose of weak grape juice, probably more inline with grape Gatorade, and some roasted nut in there. Flavor is like a weird herbal carbonated fountain drink with hints of fig, wet wooden branch, and nut. Tingly mouthfeel. Not very good, but not horrible.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2010 Pours black with a khaki head. The aroma is pretty subtle with roasted malts and a little smoke. The flavor is more of the same with roasted malt being the most predominant flavor component. The hops may add a tad bit of bitterness but if they do, it is not much. Not very complex but it is enjoyable. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Suttree (2752), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Black, creamy beige head. Smells slightly fruity on top of coffee and burnt toast. Flavor is chocolate, slightly fruity and dark toast, with a lightly hopped finish. I dunno, all these Ridgeway bottled beers taste kinda the same... BrewingFan (100), Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Pours black, ruby around the edges with a foamy head. Aromoa is of weak chocolate and a hint of alcohol. Taste is surprisingly weak compared to its advertisment. Smooth stout, creamy mouthfeel, chocolate and coffee notes with a touch of roasty malt. Bittness streaks at the end to add the only complexity this beer has. blutt59 (2186), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 27, 2009 500ml shared by my buddy Jon via John’s Market. Pours a thin weak black with a brown tint and a thin light khaki head. Thin cola, fig, rasin, herbal, woody aromas. Very thin watery body and flavor. Roasty, some smokiness, herbal, some woody sweetness, all wrapped with some off matallic flavor. I think I’ve had enough. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 22, 2009 A very nice looking beer with an underwhelming flavor. I expected more malt backbone that this beer has. Decent, just much better options out there.
