COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"It turned out to be a case of mistaken identity, of course - wrong place at the wrong time...but Claus was soon back on the street with the polite apologies of the authorities - no questions asked. All’s well that ends well, surely, but still, the reporters wanted to know...it takes its toll, doesnt’t it? "Indeed" sighed Claus, "my elf is going crazy, and I fear I shall soon go crazy as well" And with that he hoisted a great flagon of his favorite barleywine-style ale, silently contemplating the future and straining to remember why he got into this particular line of work in the first place.

Heavy sweet, sugar and alcohol. Nice amber coloured and clear. Has a white head, medium duration. Aroma of sweet sugars, candy and faint alcohol, perhaps a note of vanilla. Flavor is heavy to harsh sweet, vanilla-notes. Syrupy texture and warming alcohol.

Crystal clear copper/amber with a wispy and disappearing white head. Ripe fruit sweetness and booze make up the aroma and these follow through to the taste which is well balanced and tasty. This is followed by a woody dryness which may be from the hops, but the candy sugar sweetness comes back and stays til the end. A good strong and sweet barleywine for the holidays.

Poured an amber copper color with aromas of light dark fruits, caramel, some light booze, and a touch of vanilla. Flavors were the same mostly caramel, and dark fruit with a decent alcohol aftertaste.

Smooth pour with minimal head. Taste of hops, caramel, and malts. Carbonation is stready, but minimal as well. It is a unique ale with a malty aftertaste. Truly enjoyed this and I am a real barleywine snob.

Pretty good, but the alco esters linger from middle to end of the drink and its a lil much to be a drinkable enjoyable beer, although it is barley wine. Aroma is sweet malty alcoholic grain. Appearance is copper with thin head that falls. Palate is saturated in sweet grain and alcohol. Hops are pretty much unnoticeable. Overall not bad the aftertaste keeps me from loving it

Poured from bottle. Aroma of vanilla, pepper and alcohol. Clear amber, thin white head. Flavors of vanilla, caramel, cane sugar, pepper, banana, grass and alcohol. Slightly grassy aftertaste. Develops a somewhat soapy feel toward the end. OK, but somewhat uneven.
