"It turned out to be a case of mistaken identity, of course - wrong place at the wrong time...but Claus was soon back on the street with the polite apologies of the authorities - no questions asked. All’s well that ends well, surely, but still, the reporters wanted to know...it takes its toll, doesnt’t it? "Indeed" sighed Claus, "my elf is going crazy, and I fear I shall soon go crazy as well" And with that he hoisted a great flagon of his favorite barleywine-style ale, silently contemplating the future and straining to remember why he got into this particular line of work in the first place. Peter Scholey, Brewer.

Dark clear copper with just thin layer of foam on top. Aroma is highly malty with dark bread, dark ripe fruits, bit caramel, apples. Thick oily feel, full body, sweet with warming alcohol and bit bitterness, low carbonation, really malty with long malty finish. Bit too much alcohol but nice deep palate and bit nuances also.

What a reckless amount of booooooze. A rich and radiant copper it produces with about as much head retention as Charles the First. Strong note of caramelised tangerines, marmalade conserve, butter, and a softer inclusion of plastic, strawberries & cream lollies, dust-bunnies semi-parch the nostrils. "I’m drunk" you could easily belt forth from the rafters after just one sip, but in a good way, a’hik! Warmth, errm hahahuhum like onesies; clammy and tangy fruit esters built around citrus. Mouthfilling but quashed by a ’fun police’ dryness that jerks me back to conciousness reminding me I’m knocking back a branded spirit, ’Oh, hold the phone...., this is a beer...., What!? Body is not cumbersome yet it is lasting; well lasting. "No, I’m not voting labour you dumb..., oh that’s me in the mirroring TV, that is off! Time to go to bed, an insane elf awaits! Bottle from Plonk. Bright, clear copper, boiled lollies, ripe banana, vanilla, syrupy, heavy, strong alcohol. Bit big for me.

Heavy sweet, sugar and alcohol. Nice amber coloured and clear. Has a white head, medium duration. Aroma of sweet sugars, candy and faint alcohol, perhaps a note of vanilla. Flavor is heavy to harsh sweet, vanilla-notes. Syrupy texture and warming alcohol.
