Maris (1118) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - APR 7, 2015
From a 330ml bottle on 7/4/2015. Pours a cloudy orange golden with the barest of heads. The aroma is sweet and malty with lots of toffee and butterscotch. This repeats in the flavour, which also features some orange and mandarin, and a relatively firm bitterness. The texture is a touch syrupy and the carbonation soft. A very tasty, easy to drink barley wine.

hawthorne00 (2730) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 2, 2014
2012 bottle. Clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of dried peach, quince, mandarins, bread, sherry/ white "port". Sticky, low carbonation. Very sweet. Grain, bready, dried peach, dried mandarin rind. Some mandarin/ orangey bitterness and it does dry out a bit but the sweetness just grinds on. OK, could have used some acidity.
