3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slightly translucent, black body with some white lacing. Faint aroma with malts and a little bit of coffee in the background. Taste begins sweet, some roasted malts and ends in a slightly bitter note. Slick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Really easy imperial stout, mostly sweet taste but it’s lacking all the good things like roastiness, heavy malt taste and rich body. I like it as a beer but as an imperial stout it’s very lackluster.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, 10% at KØ16. Fruity aroma. Black colour, seems hazy. No head to speak of. Salty and roasted flavour. Sort of fruity finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from BarleyWine. Bottle 1494 of the 2012 vintage. Pours dark brown with a sight beige or tan head. Aroma of mixed chocolate and licorice. Sweet and malty. Med body or so. Flavor is mixed licorice and chocolate. Some fruit notes - but not fresh. More dark or dried. Overall it has good flavor, but seems a bit thin and dry. But I’m not the czar, so I’ll say it’s a good drink.

4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I like the roasted coffee flavour that the beer has behind every maltiness and other basic Stout flavors.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33 l bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki (2015 vintage). Appearance is dark ruby with small white head. Taste has some dark chocolate and a bitter end. It is also a bit tart. The historical export to Russia was probably sweeter than this, even too sweet for modern taste. ABV seems to be at the right level.
