3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Copper pour with little to no carbonation or head. Aroma of dried fruits and cinnamon. Flavor was malty, semi sweet and caramel, with hint of dark fruits. ABV very well masked. Better classification would be strong ale or barleywine though, as there was nothing red ale about this.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle->snifter. 2010 vintage. Pours clear orange-amber with faint head like an oil slick. Aroma is funky, sour, with vinegar and yeast. Tastes of bitter and sour mash. Strong alcohol. Not good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Interesting taste and flavor. Boozy and sweet. Not to bad with a caramel backbone. Not sure how to rate this, and ABV is hidden well.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear copper with a minimal head. Aroma of dried fruits, toffee, caramel, and syrupy maltiness. The taste is really sweet and fruity, more fresh than dried. Some alcohol is around too but not too much. Mild hoppiness in the finish. The palate is medium bodied and sticky, could be a bit fuller. A decent, warming British Barley Wine.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep copper color with a 1 finger head on the pour. Some lacing, but not much. Aroma has notes of fruit preserves or maybe fruit liqueur. Lots of malt. Yeasty, with hints of fruity liqueur, then it mellows on your palette to a dry, clean hop finish. Mouth-feel is thick and full bodied; very lightly carbonated. Barleywine or English Strong Ale? Whatever the intended style, this is an amazing beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Deep golden color, fine white head. Hoppy aroma. Sweet flavor with spices, alcohol and sugar, thankfully a slightly drier finish. Full body, medium carbonation. Not really my thing.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
2010 Bottle from Herr Dutchie Ale House via coldbrewky. Say in my cellar for about a year and a half. Pours clear golden hue with small head, visible carbonation. Nose of light caramel and hay. Taste is strong of hay and a vomit like flavor. Other than the puke, its bland. Full body. Aging did this improve this creature.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a pale copper with a 2-finger head that slowly dissipates to quarter-inch foam. Fairly good retention. Aromas of caramel, alcohol, cinnamon, hops. Tastes of orange, ginger, cinnamon and maybe a hint of anise. Malty finish with citrus, yeast, and spice. Very light carbonation. Not bad. Points for high alcohol content (11.2%).
