Fruity with a finish I can’t describe. It makes you want to rub your tongue against the roof of your mouth. Minimal to no carbonation. I really didn’t enjoy this beer.

Copper orange in color... Aroma is slightly malty and spicy... Flavor is intensely sweet up front, hints of spices, mild alcohol notes... Finish is slightly off, pretty unremarkable beer

Not a red ale. This is a barley wine. Pours beautiful enough; ruby-infused copper color. But the aroma is pure alcohol, as is the taste. The ABV is only 11.2%, so more taste should be easy to come by. As a barley wine, it's below average. As a red ale -- imperial or otherwise -- a failure. Bad elf indeed!

12oz bottle. 2011 Vintage. Honey-colored, big bubbles, clear, light lacing. A lackluster effort, in my opinion. Yet, I am SO biased towards this style, it’s not in me to rate it less than 2.8. Cloyingly sweet, also bitter, lacking complexity. I hated the first taste, but it grows on you...a bit.

Pours a copper-golden color with whisps of bubbles for white head. Cherry, syrupy sweet boozey aroma. A sweet booze-bomb...some cherry sweetness but definitely boozy. Probably will know me on my a$s this late at night.

Bottle, pours a bright golden aroma is sweet and flavour is fairly light for a barley wine, it has a sweet finish. A good body and it is was enjoyable

Aroma has English hops, some toffee, grainy notes and alcohol. Flavour has stinging alcohol, English hops, hay, some grainy notes, toffee and hints of caramel. An English strong ale with booze added.

2009. Pours deep amber, nose of fruit and some alcohol. Fruits grapefruit, caramel, molasses, some hops detected. Enjoyable, unique, but misses something.

LOOKS THIN! Orange but almost yellow from the thinness. Aroma is strong, sweet, hoppy, and alcoholic. Like candy. Light-bodied, but full on the palate. Strong ABV dominates the finish... extremely soft and pakcs a big punch! Man, this is 20 times better than Bad Elf.
