"My goodness", muttered Claus, recalling his visit to the Institute, "the restrictive outerwear, the padded room-even padded Christmas tree ornaments. Horrifying! Yet the little chap seems happier than he’s ever been" Claus took a thoughtful sip of a most warming red ale. "Perhaps sanity is over-rated...Ho,Ho,Ho!"

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of alcohol - barley wine sweet, nuts, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry aloholic finish. The alcohol leaves a burn in the throat.

Bottled@Punavuoren Ahven, Helsinki. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is alcohol, grass, some grains, strong sugary sweet and quite out of balance. Flavour is caramel malts, alcohol, some grassy and fruity hops along with plum and raisins. The alcoholic sweetness is coming through rather much.

9th July 2008. A nose of mild marmite. Taste is quite sweet but a sublte note of marmite carries over from the nose. Sweet malt with brandy and porty tones. Reasonably complex and quite drinkable!

Appearance is glow-in-the-dark orange, very clear, minimal head that evaporates in seconds, and scant lacing. Smell is butterscotch and caramel. Taste is strong alcohol, scotch, and sweet dark fruit. Slight edge of bitterness and a dryish finish. Strength is too obvious, so drinking it is a bit of a chore.
