A dark yellow ale with big fluffy white head, the aroma hit me as soon as I opened the bottle. Powerful fruits aroma with the citrus notes from the hops. Flavor is awesome pale malts and finishes bitter and dry. A very nice example of how an IPA can be complex and fruity without going nuts with overhopping or going high-gravity. An IPA for those who prefer a more "authentic" feel. Tastes like it was brewed with great care not to stray into the trendy IPA territory.

This is one of the very best traditional British IPAs that I've ever had. Poured w/ a giant fluffy long-lasting off-white head, clinging lace and a clear medium amber color. Aroma is hop yeast and fruit. Flavor is fairly dry and has hop bitterness and carbonic tang balanced. Body is perfect. Excellent drinking beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from old backlog notes early 07. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had some floral notes, light fruit character, bready malts, some oxidation, pretty average stuff.

Bottle. Clear pale body with low white foam. Aroma malty notes with not very well balanced sugary character, almost syrupy. Crisp. Taste has medium malty profile with high after taste bitterness, almost only grassy. Oxidized a little. Body is full, high carbonation. Need to try fresh.

This is a very nice ESB. Light grassy bitterness, good caramel and biscuit maltiness. Tried at Churchkey in 2014.
