COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New for 2009, Reindeer Droppings comes to us from our the much-beloved Ridgeway Brewery.
Falling from the sky like little bombs of flavour come the Reindeer Droppings! Each one is sweet like California raisins, but bitter and pungent like a freshly peeled grapefruit, lip-smackingly tasty...then ’pow!’ it’s gone.

Light unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100314]

[bottle--thanks, fonefan!] Toffee, caramel, butterscotch and grapefruit aroma with a cookie dough accent. Hazy copper under an eternal, lacy, white blanket. Well balanced, caramel toffee plus grapefruit and orange blossom hops flavour. The bitterness is a bit assertive, but not inappropriate. Medium body, moderate to medium carbonation, lasting bitter grapefruit finish.

Golden Orange/amber and a good, classic, smooth yet bubbly white head. Smell fruity citrus, very fresh and inviting. Great American Hop taste, big, Fresh, tasty, with grapefruit, sweet demerera sugar and biscuity malt. A nice carbonation bite and the alcohol is well hidden. Hard to put down - a sign of a good beer!

Cask at dba Brooklyn. Pale golden pour with a thin white head. The nose is quite hoppy. Some bright citrusy nose, clean malt and a bit of soft hoppiness. Clean, bright amarillo-like character with a touch of tropical fruit. Soft lingering herbal bitterness. I’m surprised I like this as much as I do.
