Bottle at a ChrisO tasting - London. Pours clear gold with a fine, bubbly head. Big bread and light caramel aroma. Medium sweet flavor with lightly toasted caramel, long bread, faint hay bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sticky sweet finish with more caramel, light leafy bitterness. Not bad.

Not bad.. Jess picked this one up for me at some point over the holidays. Doesn’t really have a "christmas" character, but for an English amber, this beer is remarkably flavorful with a decent body to boot.

50 cl bottle from BevMo - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a 2/3 finger thick off white head. Faint lacing. Aroma is grain and herbal hops. Flavor is toasted malt, esters, and herbal hops. Medium body. Worth a try.

New Beer Distributors, NY 50cl ($4.75): Pours light amber with a nice looking white head. Aroma is dark fruits and caramel malts. Taste is slightly bitter and moderately sweet. Malts dominate the taste. Body is lighter than expected. Minimal aftertaste. Ultimately, this ain’t that interesting, which isn’t to say I was expecting all that much.

31st December 2011 Clear amber beer, tidy white head. Dry palate. Good malt backbone with mild cream. Nice hops - bitter tangy orange, slightly resinous. Tangerine pith. Dry finish with a mild bitter linger. Decent if a bit dry.
