Reindeer's Revolt is one of a series of original Christmas beers brewed by Ridgeway for the USA, but also secretly available to other selected nations around the very edge of Europe where life... and good beer... is not always so serious!

Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Culham Post Office, Culham, Oxon. Orange amber with white head. Initial, tart, fritiness, a touch of sourness, this develops into caramel sweetness with a nutty sideshow. A touch syrupy, there is a toffee note too. Never really gets dry or hoppy for me.

16.9 oz. beer- Pours hazy orange with a thin white head that reduces to a blanket. Aroma is Christmas spices, caramel malt. The taste is caramel malt, hops, cinnamon, semi bitter. The body is fairly thin, carbonation is soft. Overall pretty mediocre.

Another christmas gift beet. Pours brown, with small white head. Tastes of cherry, cola, caramel, grains, and pepper. Kinda sweet but carbonated well.

16.9 oz bottle 12/30/11 (Binny’s Naperville)-40° in English Pint-Pours a ligth to medium amber with a small loose off white head. Aroma of roasted malt, toffee, caramel, and hay. Taste of the same with some more caramel coming on in the back end. This medium bodied brew is a pretty basic brew.

Ridgeway’s Reindeer’s Revolt has a medium, soapy, cream-colored head and a somewhat hazy amber appearance, with pretty thick lacing left behind and a few streaming bubbles. The aroma is mild, but one can detect hay, citrus, sweetness, and bread. Taste is of sweet barley malt, hop bitterness at the back end, caramel, and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Reindeer’s Revolt finishes fairly crisp, semi-dry, and it has high drinkability. Overall, this is good, and I certainly think it’s worth a try. RJT

Bottle from Hogs Back Brewery Shop. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head, aroma of malt and fruit. The taste is malty with a bitter finish.

Aroma and taste are sweet and wine like. Appears a dark golden brown. Not one of my favorites!!
