Half liter bottle - pours murky dark orange with thin offwhite head and thin lacing. Nose is brown sugar, dark fruit, alcohol and caramel. Flavor adds barn yeast. Sweetish. Light to medium body. Malty and boozy aftertaste. Interesting but the novelty of the label wears off quickly. Thanks to jordanhumbert aka Santa.

Rud hue with a nice inch of froth on top. Sweet and maltly. Well suited as a lightish Xma ale.

500ml bottle kindly shared by Magne at the hotel room. Clear amber body, lasting low, off-white head leaving dotted spots to the glassware. Dried fruity aroma, notes of caramel malts. Malt-fruity taste, marmalade impression. Spiced bitter tail. Medium bodied. Likable (London, 27.11.2012).

Sharp spices predominate this beer. The underlying flavor is similar to a Märzen. The spices aren’t really blended that well, which takes away from the overall enjoyment of the beer.

16.9oz bottle, from Jungle Jim’s. English malty aroma. Smoother, lighter carbonation of moderate strength, with a medium body. Mostly clear orange - red - copper color. Minimal white head, leaves a few dots of lace. Mostly sweet, light bitter taste. Light fruitiness. Overall... Not all that flavorful, for a Christmas ale, and generally wholly mediocre. Kind of boring, actually. Not my kind of English ale, xmas or otherwise.
