2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is quite nice. Kind of a blend between fruity & boozy but pretty pleasant. It pours a dark copper with a slight bit of red. It has a rapidly disappearing head that winds up leaving some thin lacing. I just wish the taste was as interesting as the aroma & look is. It hints at being a Belgian up front but that taste quickly fades & leaves a lot to be desired. It finishes dry & flavorless. Not well balanced. A disappointment.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle conditioned, 500ml from Culham Post Office, Culham, Oxon. Orange amber with white head. Initial, tart, fritiness, a touch of sourness, this develops into caramel sweetness with a nutty sideshow. A touch syrupy, there is a toffee note too. Never really gets dry or hoppy for me.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ridgeway’s Reindeer’s Revolt has a medium, soapy, cream-colored head and a somewhat hazy amber appearance, with pretty thick lacing left behind and a few streaming bubbles. The aroma is mild, but one can detect hay, citrus, sweetness, and bread. Taste is of sweet barley malt, hop bitterness at the back end, caramel, and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Reindeer’s Revolt finishes fairly crisp, semi-dry, and it has high drinkability. Overall, this is good, and I certainly think it’s worth a try. RJT
