keith0718 (151), Olathe, Kansas, USA Jan 8, 2008 I didn’t care for this one. It went down like a rather highly carbonated brown ale, rather than a "rich and warming" porter.
kwoeltje (1180), Manchester, Missouri, USA Jul 21, 2008 (50cl bottle - part of a gift pack) pours deep brown almost black with very little head. Aroma of roast malt. Flavor is roast slightly sweet malt. A decent if unspectacular porter. Papsoe (9771), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 20, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear warm reddish brown with a dense, beige head. Fruity aroma with some roasted malt. Medium body with lightly burned caramel, roated malt and fruit. Short lightly hoppy aftertaste. Very decent. 250308 phishpond417 (1162), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 20, 2008 Classy bottle. Pours very clean with a rich chocolatey colour. nice big fluffy brown head. aromas dominated by caramel and rich roasted malts. coffee, black cherry and licorice in the flavor. nice creamy texture. dwyerpg (1990), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Jun 13, 2008 A caramel roasty aroma. This nice but light and not that sweet. A pretty tasty beer, but I like my porters not too sweet. BlackDonald (724), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA May 19, 2008 None of the seasonal beers in this series are really that impressive, more gimmicky label artwork thany actualy real qaulity of beer. Something made for the American market. Thin and light mouthfeel, with some one dimensional roasted chocolate and caramel malt, some fruit notes, maybe just a hint of creamy coffee. Bland.
