Bottle from Superbest, Hellerup. Clear amber colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel, alcohol, hops and fruit.

Bottled, 500ml from S.H Jones, Banbury. Yellow gold with slight head. Quite flattish on the palate, this has a strong pear drop note, boiled sweets with a drying alcohol chill. Must be close to a barley wine, astringent towards the end despite the sweet note. Heavy.

7 jan 2012, bottle. Light yellow,, clear, occasional bubbles. Smells like sprite and pale pub ale. Med body and almost flat. Like a like caramel soda. Meh.

Bottle. Pours quite an orange yellow. Head dies quickly to just bubbles at the edge of the glass. Aroma is pear drop and orange blossom. Slightly oily, a bit heavy and flat on the palate. Coats the tongue like a mild boiled sweet. Taste is initially strong pear drop with seville orange coming through a little underneath. The pear drop taste then re-emerges becomming drier with a little raisin. This is a complex beer and definitely superior to Bad Elf and Very Bad Elf. The alcohol undercurrent is slightly warming and not intrusive. Dangerously drinkable.

Bottle. Clear deep golden with big off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops and a little grainy. Flavour is malt, fruit, medium sweet, hops, medium bitter and notes of alcohol.

Bottle; clear amber with small beige head; aroma-caramel, hay, alcohol, pepper, orange; taste-medium sweetness, lightly bitter, full body, thick feel, sticky, average carbonation, astringent with strong long alcohol feel. I like it but not that great.

Bottle. Bright golden color, small white head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is very sweet butterscotch. Plain.
